Prohibited Items – What You Cannot Store

To ensure the safety of your belongings and all users of our facility, the following items must not be stored in your unit. This list may be updated; always read your rental agreement and contact us if you are unsure about a specific item.

? Hazardous, Flammable & Dangerous Items

  • Petrol, diesel, fuel, gas cylinders, compressed gases
  • Paints, solvents, thinners, oil, cleaning chemicals
  • Explosives, fireworks or any item that can ignite or explode
  • Combustible materials that could cause a fire risk 

❌ Illegal, Toxic & Biohazardous Materials

  • Any illegal or illicit items or substances
  • Stolen goods or counterfeit products
  • Radioactive materials, biological agents, toxic waste, asbestos
  • Chemicals that are hazardous, poisonous or cause contamination 

? Weapons & Items That Pose Safety Risks

  • Firearms, ammunition, weapons of any type
  • Items that emit dangerous fumes or strong odours 

? Living Things

  • Live animals, plants or any biological matter
  • Items containing living creatures that require care 

? Food & Perishables

  • Fresh, frozen or perishable food items
  • Food that could spoil, attract vermin or cause odours 

? High-Value & Irreplaceable Items

These are generally discouraged or require special insurance — check with us before storing:

  • Cash, bullion, coins
  • Jewellery, furs, high-value paintings or artworks
  • Important legal documents (wills, deeds, certificates)
  • Items of sentimental value that cannot be easily replaced 

? Other Restricted Goods

  • Items that emit strong smells (e.g., scented products, certain cosmetics)
  • Items that risk contaminating or damaging other people’s property
  • Environmentally harmful goods 

? Important Notes

  • Items not listed here might still be restricted depending on specific unit conditions (e.g., climate-controlled versus general purpose) — always check your contract and our team for confirmation.
  • If you plan to store something that might fall into a grey area (e.g., electronics with lithium batteries), contact us first to confirm whether it’s allowed.
